19th June 2015: MURDER MYSTERY NIGHT
It may have been the last day of the term, but the girls of St Mary’s Interact club were more than excited to come back for a night of Murder Mystery fun to raise awareness and funds for Mercy Ships. The night involved numerous tables of characters receiving individual clues revealing secrets and scandals that linked themselves and the others on their table to the fictional murder of local teen “Matt Hastings.” The new D-300 area was alive with excited chatter, passionate debating and hearty laughter as the plot thickened. The event was also tinged with sadness as we wished farewell our favourite exchange student, and avid interact member, Lea.
Ultimately the night was a success, raising over $800 for Mercy Ships through ticket and food sales as well as generous donations by those who came. I would like to thank Ms. Guillaume, Mrs. Davis, Illawarra sunrise rotary club, our Interact executive as well as everyone who attended for such a wonderful night.
